VicRoads Drive iQ

Following the success of CityGT, VicRoads wanted to explore what was possible to enhance their learner driver practise test material – introducing Drive iQ. Working with JWT and using Unity3D, Millipede developed an array of immersive 3D environments to simulate learner driver test scenarios. Drive IQ was launched by the Premier of Victoria, John Brumby.

Coles Egg Racer

Our friends at TribalDDB came up with a beautiful Augmented Reality recreation of the classic Egg & Spoon race - we brought it to life. As soon as it was launched people figured out how to beat it. We were simply happy people were using the app. The longer they used it, the more exposure to the Coles brand they were getting - and hey, it's kinda fun to play regardless of how you do it.

CityGT

CityGT is a world first iPhone game with a twist, designed to highlight the dangers of mobile phone use while driving. Launched September 6th 2009, CityGT allowed gamers to use their iPhone as a driving wheel to control the game on the 40ft screen at Federation Square. The Adventures of Freddo: The Secret of the Golden Keys

Engaged by Publicis Digital, we built 40-odd unique Flash games for their imaginative entertainment and educational website, The Adventures of Freddo. The first series, “The Secret of the Golden Keys” was released as ten short, animated episodes over ten days. We were able to harness the awesome features of Flash Player 10, including native 3D capability and implemented true physics and particle engines to create some outstanding effects to bring the games to life.

Blood Buddies

Launched to coincide with the Year of the Blood Donor 2009, Blood Buddies is a comprehensive online educational package designed to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation amongst school children. Blood Buddies features an engaging blend of user generated video, personal stories, animated characters and hard science.

Pregnancy Partner

When Nature's Own wanted to reach pregnant women they wanted to go beyond the web, giving women something of value they could keep with them throughout pregnancy. Engaged by SapientNitro, Millipede developed the Pregnancy Partner, a desktop widget featuring luscious animations and regular content updates. The Pregnancy Partner was built using Adobe AIR, enabling us to capitalise on our Flash expertise to rapidly deliver a robust cross-platform widget.

Pirate treasure hunt

Early learners guide our bumbling hero Pirate Jack and his trusty parrot in Pirate treasure hunt. Pirate Jack is presented with obstacles, options and key points where decisions need to be made and problems solved before he can reach his treasure. A strong combination of beautiful illustration, animation, humour, adventure and a well thought-out quest has Pirate treasure hunt receiving rave reviews from schools and teachers across Australia and New Zealand.

Berwick TEC

Creative direction and Flash development are two things we love. We created the Berwick TEC website to engage the Gen Y target audience, and enabled it to be built by the Chisholm IT department using Sharepoint. We created uber-slick interactive panaromas (with photography by Marco Damiano of NextStudio) and a nifty 3D photo gallery to represent this cutting edge facility in its full state of the art radness.
